I have made this cake business and blog to share my passion for gluten free baking as well as my personal gluten free journey.

 

I was diagnosed with coeliac disease at the age of 10, and overnight found myself unable to eat my favourite foods. Back then, gluten free bread, cakes, biscuits, pastry had neither the texture or the taste of ‘normal foods’ and so I took up baking the treats that I missed so much. Baking became a normal activity for me, I would bake after school or on the weekends, I would bake when it was a birthday, and I would research gluten free recipes online that I wanted to try in the future. I became a gluten free baking enthusiast, who loves to make sweet bakes treats for myself, friends and family to enjoy.

Therefore, creating my own gluten free baking business seemed like a perfect fit for me!

 

For me, baking has become a mindful and enjoyable activity, over the years I have become increasingly passionate about gluten free baking as it allowed me to continue to enjoy baked goods that I loved before I was diagnosed and that I thought I would not be able to eat again. 

 

I am largely self-taught, with the help of some great recipe books, and recently have enjoyed taking some classes as my baking has become more ambitious and I have started to develop my own techniques and tweaks to the recipes I use. 

 

This website showcases my favourite gluten free bakes, available gluten free cakes to order, and my blog which focuses on gluten free recipes recommendations and gluten free restaurants, bakeries, other eateries that I have visited and have loved.
